Material of the Month: Latex

Bei der Projektreihe „Material of the Month“ stellt MAKE. jeden Monat ein ausgewähltes Material vor und stellt es BURG's kreativen Studenten für ihre Projekte frei zur Verfügung. Einzige Bedingung hierfür ist die Dokumentation und das Teilen von Ideen und Experimenten, die mit Hilfe des gesponserten Materials entstanden sind.

Latex
Der Milchsaft des Kautschukbaums, heißt in getrockneter Form Kautschuk und wird zur Produktion von Gummi verwendet. Die Latexmilch trocknet an der Luft und hat viele Anwendungsmöglichkeiten für Abformen, Textilbeschichtungen, Formenbau und vieles mehr. Was würdest Du machen? So lange unser Vorrat reicht, steht (flüssiges) Naturlatex zur freien Verfügung für alle Studenten.

Materialausgabe
- Dienstag 5.11. um 15 Uhr
- Kunst Campus / Herrenhaus / 1.OG (über der Mensa)
- Bitte eine leere 0,5 l. Behälter/Flasche mitbringen (für die flüssige Latexmilch)

At the "Material of the Month" program, MAKE. introduces a new or unknown material to BURG's creative students. The material is freely available, the only condition for receiving the material is that the ideas and experiments are documented and shared.

Latex Milk
The milky juice from the rubber tree is one of the main components in the production of (natural) rubber. The latex milk is air-drying and has many application possibilities for casting forms, coating textiles, making molds and more. What would you do? The (liquid) latex milk is freely available for all students as long as our stock lasts.

Material distribution
- Tuesday 5.11. at 15h00
- Art Campus / Herrenhaus / 1st floor (above the Mensa)
- Please bring your own 0,5 l. bottle (to transport the liquid latex)
