This workshop aims to analyse and discuss the symbolic possibilities of material in performing the works of art. The precise choice of material for a particular artistic idea requires great insight and research; the sense that comes from the material may have a leading role by activating the possible readings of the works.

During a one week workshop we will work practically but conferences will be held, too, about the use of material seen through the history of art (Land Art, Minimalism, Conceptualism, etc.). This workshop aims to enable students to get to generate a work in which the material is the resource to activate its meaning.
